‘Java Jive’ was written by Ben Oakland and Milton Drake in 1940 and is a wonderfully positive song considering the times in which it was composed. It was made famous by The Ink Spots but has also been covered very successfully by The Manhattan Transfer. I think this was my 2nd attempt at arranging for 4-part close harmony voices.
