From the little I know, I’m aware that Christmas festivities in Medieval times were pretty full-on with LOTS of merriment. I took this carol which is normally sung quite steadily and safely and I cranked up the speed so that it’s almost 2 beats in a bar. Lots of powerful unison singing and the break-down to the canon on ‘Ox and ass Him know’ keep the singer son their toes… oh, and I let rip on the Organ part – no holds barred!
