Copious Notes

While I was in Stroud, in 2007, I was invited to lead a small local vocal group called ‘Copious Notes’, comprising of musical parents and their friends. We met weekly in the studio of one the singers, artist Lucy Milne and although it was very relaxed, we worked really hard and covered a lot of work in the time. They were really committed and had everything off-by-heart. My first arrangement for them was ‘A Nightingale Sang in Berkley Square’ and carried on from there, covering a wide range of styles. Copious Notes was always in demand at local balls and parties at places such as Chevenage House and wedding venues- we had a great time. For more photos, click HERE.

For me, the highlight was Christmas as I arranged several traditional carols in a newer style and more ‘jazzy’ harmonies. We recorded an album called ‘Copious Notes @ Christmas’ at The Cause in Chippenham and used them a lot in Christmas events. Please click on any piccy to listen to my Christmas arrangements …
