Having changed degree from pure Music degree to Music, Dance and Drama, I wanted to do more dance work somehow. Early 1984 I went for an audition in Birmingham for the bit-part of Jesus in a ballet being prepared for a Salzburg tour in 1985. This was by The New English Orchestra, Singers and Dancers, a group of professional Christian musicians, singers and dancers who gave their time freely. I got the job and rehearsed every weekend in Birmingham and London. Concerts in Birmingham, Manchester, Albert Hall and Northampton led up to the Salzburg tour.
